A new puppy purchase is a very exciting, positive experience for all family members.  In order to promote a healthy transition for your new puppy, it is important that you thoroughly read the below Sales Agreement.  Please ask for clarification if you have any questions.  To the best of my knowledge, this puppy is in good health at the time of sale.  The customer has a general health guarantee until 72 hrs. after delivery during which time he can have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian.  If the veterinarian discovers anything seriously wrong with the puppy, it can be returned for a refund of the purchase price or exchanged for another puppy of equal value, provided the puppy is returned within the guarantee period and is accompanied by a letter from the examining veterinarian stating in what respect the puppy is unsound.  Return shipping expense is the responsibility of the purchaser.    In addition to the general health guarantee described above, seller provides a one-year guarantee against certain genetic defects.  Should a licensed veterinarian diagnose the puppy with a life threatening genetic defect, having been there from birth, the Breeder will refund or replace the puppy, at breeder’s discretion, limited to one year from purchase date.  Should the puppy die from a suspected genetic defect, an autopsy must be performed by an accredited institution set up for such procedures, such as A & M University.   Any request for refund for the pup must be accompanied either by 1) a statement from a Veterinarian stating the nature of the genetic defect, and how it is life threatening, or 2) an autopsy report describing the genetic defect that caused the death.  There is no guarantee against retained testicles or umbilical hernias.   No guarantee is made to the disposition, life-span, size, color, show quality, or breeding ability of any puppy.  All warranties are null and void if a puppy’s illness is caused by neglect, exposure to weather, injury, choking, poisoning, chronic obesity, poor hygiene, etc. Seller is not responsible for any veterinarian, medical, shipping, or other expenses incurred for any reason.   Seller’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the puppy.

Please consult your veterinarian to determine when your puppy should have subsequent vaccinations and worming.  You have been provided with the puppy's records and a supply of the food your puppy is currently eating.  Continue to feed the puppy only this food for a few days.  If you plan to change his food, mix 1/2 of the food provided with 1/2 of the new food for 2-3 days, and then change to the new food completely.  If you change his/her food rapidly,  the puppy is likely to get diarrhea. 

Unless otherwise agreed upon, all puppies are sold on Limited Registration.  This means that your puppy qualifies for AKC Registration, but no litters produced by him/or are eligible for AKC registration.  It also means that the dog shall not be eligible to be entered in a conformation breed competition in a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be entered in events such as Agility, Obedience, etc.  If Limited Registration is deemed appropriate, it will be so indicated on the Registration Application.
